Ryne utilizes evidence based treatment modalities such as CBT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients understand changes in their emotions while remaining grounded in times of stress. Ryne also emphasizes creating a space for clients that feels safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental for clients to feel as honest as possible. Ryne believes that in this space, clients are able to understand, de-construct, and re-construct associated thoughts and behaviors surrounding mental health concerns. Ryne is available to offer therapeutic services to individuals and families.
Maret Thorpe, LSW
Maret is Certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and treats children and adults.
Maret’s clinical background includes treating anxiety, depression and related disorders. She has clinical expertise assisting clients in managing life transitions, relationship issues, and work and academic stress. Maret aims to create a space where her clients feel safe, accepted, and supported as they develop new strategies for facing challenges. She uses a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with elements of solution-focused, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapeutic strategies to help her clients. Maret focuses on holistic healing, integrating client strengths, physical self-care practices and opportunities for supportive connections into treatment.
Ira Finkel, LSW
Ira is Certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and treats children, adolescents and adults.
Ira completed his internships in academic settings serving children and young adults with a variety of diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. He has also received specialized training as a school social worker through Loyola University, Chicago. He has worked in the Chicago Public School district for several years servicing students and is licensed by the National Association of Social Workers as a Certified School Social Work Specialist. Ira’s experience working in academic settings enables him to collaborate effectively with school personnel to support students.
Dr. Bethany Walker, PhD
Dr. Walker is Certified in CBT for Anxiety & OCD and treats children, adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Walker has extensive experience treating a breadth behavioral health problems in children, adolescents, and young adults, including problems with anxiety, mood, behavior, sleep, toileting, and development. She has worked with various populations, including young children, youth with developmental differences, LGBT youth, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Dr. Walker has expertise in treating anxiety and related disorders, including OCD, body focused repetitive disorders, and tic disorders. Her approach to treatment incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
